Abstract (EN)

Nurses' compliance with isolation measures is very important for their own health and public health during the pandemic period, as always. This research was conducted as a descriptive study in order to determine the compliance of nurses with isolation measures during the Covid-19 pandemic period and to determine the causes of compliance problems. The research was conducted on 327 nurses working in hospitals between January 2020 and June 2021. The data of the research were collected by online method with "Demographic Characteristics Form" and "Scale of Adaptation to Isolation Measures". The total score of the nurses' compliance with isolation measures was 66.99±6.38. Way of Transmission sub-dimension score average 22.16±2.81, Employee and Patient Safety sub-dimension mean 17.82±2.09, Environmental Control sub-dimension mean score 17.21±2.27, Hand Washing and Glove Use sub-dimension mean score was 9.81±1.73. According to the results obtained from the study, a significant relationship was found between the nurses' compliance with the isolation measures and age, the service worked, the number of patients cared for, the years of working in the profession and the educational status (p<0.05). Despite the pandemic period, the level of compliance of nurses with isolation measures was found to be quite high. It is recommended to increase training and inspections in order to support the improvement of the education level of nurses, to raise awareness of nurses about the issue and to increase compliance with isolation measures. Key Words: Covid-19, isolation, nurse.
