COVID-19 the effects of the pandemic on turkey's foreigntrade

The aim of the research is to examine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Turkey's foreign trade and, in particular, to analyze how imports and exports are distributed across different sectors. The study not only focuses on the pandemic's impact on the global economy but also provides a specific focus on Turkey's international trade, contributing to an understanding of the sectoral-level effects. Various analytical methods were employed in the research process to identify the changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on economic activities. By carefully examining import and export data, the study highlights how different sectors were affected during the pandemic and the changes in the sectoral distribution of trade.The findings indicate that the pandemic significantly affected Turkey's foreign trade and that specific sectors suffered varying degrees of damage compared to others. The research provides valuable insights for effective policy measures to cope with the challenges posed by the pandemic and to prepare for similar situations in the future. In conclusion, the findings obtained in this thesis offer valuable information about how Turkey's foreign trade changed and was affected during the pandemic period. Understanding the sectoral-level effects of the pandemic will be an important step for economic decision-makers. This study provides a better understanding of the impact of international trade on specific sectors and contributes to a better understanding of the steps to be taken to ensure economic stability.
