The effects of COVID 19 on the family institution (Example of Dalaman)

Covid-19, which emerged in Wuhan, China, has become a pandemic in a short time by crossing the continents. This pandemic process has radically changed the social life and structure. Social structure consists of institutions such as family, education, politics, economy, law and religion. The pandemic process has also affected these institutions. In this study, the effects of Covid-19 on the family were examined sociologically. The literature on the first family institution of the study and the changing family structure was reviewed. The second part of the study is the methodological framework of the research. Here, information about the methodological model of the research is given. In the third part of the research, analyzes related to the research were made. The field of this research, in which the qualitative research method was adopted, is the Dalaman district of Muğla Province. In this study based on field research, interview technique was used. The data collected by interviewing the families affected by the Covid-19 process were recorded with a voice recorder. Later, these data were deciphered and interpreted.
