Abstract (EN)

In this study, it has been tried to create a perspective on how much the Covid-19 epidemic, which affects many sectors negatively, affects the logistics sector, which is one of the indispensable sectors in terms of economic growth in Turkey and the world. In this context, the financial performances of the enterprises operating in the logistics sector before the Covid-19 epidemic and during the Covid-19 epidemic were compared and evaluated. There are 16 criteria and 11 alternatives in the study. Alternatives consist of companies in the transportation, storage and communication sub-sectors in Borsa Istanbul, and the criteria consist of financial ratios. CRITIC, ARAS and MAIRCA Methods, which are among the multi-criteria decision making methods, were preferred to measure and evaluate the financial performances of the enterprises. With the CRITIC method, the weight degrees of the criteria used in the study were determined, then the enterprises were listed and evaluated with the ARAS and MAIRCA Methods. During the evaluation phase, two topics were focused on. First of all, the performances of all companies operating in the logistics sector were evaluated on a yearly basis and presented by comparing them with each other. Secondly, the financial performance of each business over the years was evaluated separately and the effects of the covid-19 process on the financial performance of the businesses were discussed
