City images appearing in lanscape paintings have achieved being painting themes alone. After the decleration of the new republic in our country, leaps in artistic subjects and the trips of the artists in Turkey to other countries have given them the chance to reflect the things they have seen at new destinations to their own art and they succeeded. Just like their colleagues they have made lots of lanscape paintings containing city images which differ from one another. This was expanding the turkish paintig limits by adding diversity and also giving us clues about the living style, economical state and the cultural developments of time the paintings were made.
