Abstract (EN)
In the first chapter of this thesis, differential equations emerging in applied sciences, such as engineering and science, are briefly dealt with, and the basic information regarding energy decay of solutions is given. In the second chapter, the historical developments of the decay of solutions are investigated. In the third chapter, basic definitions, lemma, theorems, , inequalities that will be used throughout the thesis are given In the fourth chapter is composed of two sections. In the first section local and global existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions are for a Petrovsky equation with weak damping term are studied. In the second section, decay energy and blow up for a Petrovsky equation with strong damping term are studied.
