Dervish Mukîmî's Vahdet-nâme-i İlâhi (text-examination-index)

Although we haven't come across any information about Dervish Mukîmî's life, when we examine Mukîmî's only work Vahdet-nâme-i İlâhi's copies, we think that the writer must have lived during 16th and 17th centuries. The work does not include any information about the writer's life, but only the expression 'The slave of Fazlullah' is used. If new information is obtained, the writer's life will come to light. The aim of the study is to ensure that this important work, written in Hurufism area and has many copies, to bring into our literature within the framework of Hurufism teachings, to create a source for the studies in this field, and to determine the place of this work in our literature and to distinguish the difference from other Hurufism works and other similar works. Besides, the study aims to present the importance of the writer in our literature by appraising the language and style of the work and revealing the literary side of the writer. Hurufism is a mystic and philosophical movement founded by Fazlullah Esterâbâdî in Iran in 14.century. The movement emerged in Iran, its' effects continued until 17. century and spread to Anatolia and the Balkans by laying the base in Iran and Azerbaijan. The first period of Hurufism, together with Fazlullah, who is the founder of the movement, comprises of the Farsi works written by the khalifa and Fazullah's coeval such as Aliyyu'l-Âlâ, Sheik Ebu'l Hasan, Sayyids Şerif, Sayyids İshak, Emir Gıyâseddin, Mir Fâzılî. Sayyids Nesimî and Refi'î, followed his footstep, who had a vital role to spread the movement, were the first representatives of the movement in Anatolia. Abdulmecid b. Ferişteoğlu (d.864 / 1459-60), Cavîdî Ali, Mukîmî, İşkurt Dede are among the important representatives of Hurufizm in the field of prose. The works of these writer are generally written in a didactic way by spreading Hurufizm and by explaining the works of Fazlullah in a language that can be understood by public. In the field of poetry, Penahî (d. after 1456), Misâlî (d. 985/1577), Muhitî (960 / 1553-?), Arşî (970-1030 / 1562-1621) are important representatives. Vahdet-nâme-i İlâhî is the only work of writer that we have got. In this work the doctrine of Hurufism is told in a daily language. In this prose, many verses, Hadith and Arabic narrations were included and their explanations and interpretations, Sufi term explanations were made. Also, the work defines the Creation, Adam, Eve, Muhammad, Ali alongside of devotions' Hurufi interpretations. 16 copies of Vahdet-nâme-i İlâhî, 6 of which are complete, have been reached. We could not reach the original copy of the work. In our study, with the comparison of 6 full copies, we removed the two copies we thought were written from the same copy and created the text using 4 copies. Assigning the oldest copy as a main text, which dates back 1703 and in Millet Kütüphanesi, we compare the other copies of the work. We studied in our thesis this important work of Dervish Mukîmî, Vahdet-nâme-i İlâhî, which may light the other studies to be done in Hurifism field and the work is transferred to Latin letters and examined in terms of Hurufism.
