Abstract (EN)

The food and the foodscape, which highlight the destination and are an integral part of tourism, are an effective factor for people to recommend the destination. In this study, it is aimed to the mediating role of destination emotion in the relationship between destination foodscape and intention to recommend. December 1, 2023 to May 15, 2023, the research data were collected from tourists in Alanya region by means of a survey. In order to reach the tourists included in the determined sample, the easy sampling method was used. Within the scope of the study, 400 questionnaires were collected. After the incorrect and incomplete data were extracted, analyses were carried out on 384 survey forms. As a result of the analyses performed, it has been determined that the destination foodscape has a positive and significant relationship on the intention to recommend. It has been found that the destination foodscape has a positive and significant effect on the destination emotion. Within the scope of the study, it was found that destination emotion has a positive and significant effect on the intention to recommend. Finally, it has been determined as a result of the analyses performed that emotions play a full mediating role in the effect of the destination foodscape on the intention to recommend.
