Abstract (EN)

In today's conditionsand in the struggle for life, the nature of the nature that we constantlystrive for and which cannot be separated; the struggle in urban area srather than in rural areas has always existed. Urban people; In her daily life, while living around with the values brought by technology, she is una ware that the beautie saround her are diminishing. The life of urban people; he spends his time in both pedestrian transportationand in-car transportation, and he lives his psychological effects in tedir traffic hem. Vegetable textureused in urban area; Itprovides a comfortable standard of living for ecological, sociological and psychological aspectsbyalle viating the stres fulchaos of daily life. Due topopulation growth, employment, migration and economic reasons, the gren texture which is a part of the city andthecity is decreasing, concrete surfa cesarein creasing. Here, the vertical gardendesigns that support this phenomenon, disrupt the gray texture, support vehicle and pedestrian traffic, environmental ecology, human psychology, solvethe problem sandcarry the urban life tothedesired level. This work; One of the biggest problems of Istanbul metropolitan city is toinvestigatet he effects of vertical gardens which can give positive acceleration to vehiclean dpedestrian traffic. it is intended. Also in vertical garden applications which design principlesand elements; aimstoreveal that it will have a positive effect on vehicle and pedestrian traffic. In recent years, the most preferred vertical gardens, the use of vehicle and pedes trian traffic in the city and the visuala demotional effects on the city toinvestigatetheeffects of both pedestrian and vehicle traffic in tensiveuse of Istanbul (Taksim, Bakirkoy, Kadikoy, Umraniye, Atasehir, Uskudar, Levent, Sariyer selected. For this purpose, a total of 316 people, both pedestrian traffic and 2 kinds of surveys were applied for vehicletraffic. For pedestrian trafficto participants; Relieving / Resting / Stretching Colors, hours of use of pedestrian zones, emotions of vertical gardens, and the contribution of vertical garden sto the environment were asked. Participants were asked toevaluateand score 10 different images which were shownto the maccording to the landscapedesign andprinciples. Also for participants toVehicle traffic; Question ssuch as Relaxing / Resting / StretchingColors, hours of use of vehicle traffic, whetherthey had traffic accidents, accident scaused by accidents, the emotions caused by the vertical gardens, the contribution of vertical gardens to the environment were asked. Participants were asked to evaluateand score 10 differentimages which were shown to the maccording to the landscape designand principles. Accordingly, it is aimedtofindout which design principlesand elements have positiveeffects on vehicle and pedestrian traffic in vertical garden applications. As a result, in vertical garden applications, blue, green, whitecolors, orange, black, red colors should be given less space; it has been found that the design principlesand elements should be lesspreferred in terms of texture, harmony, color, hierarchicalorder, contrast, measurement-proporsion. The results in the targeteddirection were paralleland it was revealed that the participants had high expectations from the verticalgardens. It wa determined that the vertical gardens, which were not aware of their positive contribution sto human psychology, wanted tosee a lot in the vicinity of theparticipants Keywords:Vertical gardens, Vehicle and pedestriantraffic, Sociological psychological effects.
