Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, the incidence of certain diseases are increasing. Among such disease, one of the remarkable deterioration of carbohydrate tolerance is Diabetes Mellitus. It is the most common endocrin disease worldwide. World Health Organization (WHO) suggest that more than 300 million people in 2025 in the world can be diabetic.In our country, diabetes have been so common that the purpose of this thesis is to investigate the different herbs and spices of mechanisms in the nutritions processes applied; the place and the importance of those herbs & spices in diabetes treatment.For controlling and following of Diabetes Mellitus, drugs are used while herbs and spices are used to support diet and nutrition. In the Diabetes Mellitus patients nutrions of diseases of plants and herbs have been used since antiquity so that the therapeutic use of herbs and spices in Turkey and the world has become a common tradition.In this thesis, researches on the impact of natural herbs and spices which are used to treat diabetes in Turkey and the World are placed. It will also help those who want to know about this topic is intended.
