Abstract (EN)
Aim: In our research project, our aim is; The aim of this study is to investigate the differences in serum vaspin levels in these rats and to investigate the effects of these differences on glucose metabolism. Material and Method: In this research line will be 7 units in each of the three groups, a total of 21 wistar albino rats will take place: 1-Control Group, 2-Diabetic Group, 3- Treatment (Metformin) Group. Streptozotocin (60 mg / kg) thawed in citrate buffer was injected into the abdominal cavity 15 minutes after a single dose of nicotinamide (110 mg / kg) was administered to the abdominal cavity of the rats to form diabetes . For the control group, only placebo (citrate buffer) was administered in the same route . Forty-eight hours after the administration of streptozotocin, blood samples from the tail were checked for fasting blood glucose level and those with a blood glucose level of 11 mM (200 mg / dl) were diabetic. The diabetic rats were divided into two groups of twelve animals each, and one group was treated with metformin (500 mg / kg / day) orally (orogastric) for 6 weeks and the other group was given placebo. In the blood samples, the parameters related to serum vaspin, leptin, adiponectin, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), insulin resistance and lipid metabolism were determined and evaluated by appropriate statistical methods in SPSS program (Variance, Turkey) in the light of the literature. Results:Parameters related to fat metabolism, enzymes and parameters related to glucose metabolism, adipokine levels were determined. When the results were compared, it was seen that the difference between them was statistically significant. Conclusion: When compared with healthy control group, leptin, adiponectin and vaspin levels were found to be low in diabetic group, suggesting low leptin, adiponectin and vaspine may be associated with glucose tolerance and insulin resistance.
