Abstract (EN)

In this study, the levels of copper, manganese, iron, zinc, selenium, lead, cadmium, calsium, sodium, potasium and magnesium in cow milk provided from Diyarbakır city center and its countries. The study was carried out over two seasons. The first season was winter when the animals are kept in stables and fed with dry fed and the second season was spring season when the animals are taken to meadows and pasture lands and fed with fresh fed.In this way the metal consentration of feding acording to seasons was investigated. In total 202 samples were analysed. The metal levels and magnesium and calsium contents was measured through Atomic Absorption Spectrometer(AAS) and Potasium and sodium contents were measured by Atomic Emission Spectrometer(AES).While the analysis revealed 4.83±0.89 mg/kg zinc,0.28±0.12 mg/kg manganese, 18.0±3.4 mg/kg selenium,1.39±0.80 mg/kg iron, 0.61±0.25 mg/kg copper, 988.2±155.1 mg/kg calsium, 135.9±48.9 mg/kg magnesium,1361.5±264.5 mg/kg potasium and 343.9±46.1 mg/kg sodium. It didn?t identified any measurable cadmium and lead. When this values are compared with the relevant literature the milk from Diyarbakır and surrounding is not polluted in terms of lead and cadmium. The milk is rich in terms of copper, manganese, iron and zinc.In terms of minerals ,While, magnesium and potasium were found to be in enough concentrations,it wasn?t containing enough calcium and sodium. Also the milk is rich in terms of selenium.
