Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in the greenhouse of Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture. The Viking variety of Aronia was used as plant material. Plants were produced by tissue culture and were planted in pots with different growing media for the purpose of growing seedlings. The experiment was carried out with 3 replications and 10 plants in each replication. 6 different growing media (%100 Soil (control); 50% Peat + 50% Sand; 50% Perlite + 50% Peat; 50% Cocopeat + 25% Peat + 25% Perlite; 50% Peat + 50% cocopeat; 50% Perlite + 50% cocopeat) were used. 4 different plant nutrition applications were made to these growing media and the effects were observed. According to the findings obtained in the research, it was seen that the best results in terms of the examined parameters were obtained from the combinations with vermicompost. This situation reveals that vermicompost makes a significant contribution to the production of aronia seedlings and has positive effects on plant development. In addition, the effects of growing media on plant development were also investigated. For plant length, Peat + Cocopeat (%50+%50) and Peat + Cocopeat + Perlite (%50+%25+%25) media, For shoot number, Peat + Cocopeat (%50+%50) media, For shoot length, Cocopeat + Perlite (%50+%50) and Peat + Cocopeat + Perlite (%50+%25+%25) media, For plant diameter, Cocopeat + Perlite (%50+%50) and Peat + Cocopeat + Perlite (%50+%25+%25) media gave good results. As a result, the use of vermicompost in the production of aronia seedlings and the selection of appropriate growing media were determined as important elements to support plant growth.
