Abstract (EN)
The Ottoman Empire protected and kept music alive in the palace. Especially if the sultan was interested in music, the importance of music in the palace increased even more. Enderun and Harem were governed by a certain hierarchy. From the bottom to the top of this pyramid, discipline, intelligence, honesty and special skills are taken into account. Music grew and became institutionalized in the palace over time. Music education in Harem-i Hümâyun was supported by education in the palace and outside the palace, and importance was given to music education. Enderûn's music teachers and the best composers, sazen and sazen teachers of the period also gave lessons in the Harem. The sultans and the Imperial Harem dynasties also took music lessons in the palace. In the harem, journeyman-level concubines created a musical identity with their music training and reached the level of teaching outside their fields of performance. These journeymen also composed works. In this study; The people who received music education in the Harem, the teachers who gave music education and the possible repertoire of that period were compiled from archive sources and transferred to create a resource.
