Abstract (EN)
Deposit insurance system features, and arrangements in world and Turkey is to be determined in this paper and this paper aims to emprically analyse the impact of full coverage deposit insurance system on bank failure by using Turkish privately administrated banks? financial ratios, macroeconomic variables and full coverage deposit insurance system dummy variable for the period 1998-2009. Estimation results suggest that the dummy variable for full coverage deposit insurance system is found to be related to the bank failure. In other words, full coverage deposit insurance system is an important factor that increased the possibility of bank failure.
