The effects of emotional intelligence and proactive personality traits on individuals' career adaptability

The aim of this study determines the impact of students' emotional intelligence and proactive personality traals on their career adaptation abilities. For this purpose, the screening model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used to determine the effect of participants emotional intelligence and proactive personality traits on career harmony. The sample of the study consists of 232 students. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the emotional intelligence and proactive personality characteristics of the students exhausted the ability to adapt to the career. At the same time, a low level of relationship has been detected between emotional intelligence and proactive personality trait and career adaptation ability. According to the results of the analysis conducted in line with the demographic characteristics of the participants, it was determined that there was a significant difference between gender, age and working status and emotional intelligence, educational status and working status, proactive personality traits and students' age and educational status and career adaptations.
