Abstract (EN)

The target of this study is to compare problem solving abilities of the students in Physical Education and Sport Academy due to regular exercises of the students. The study has been completed during spring semester of 2010-2011 education year in Fırat University, Elazığ. The study was applied upon totally 442 student studying in Departmant of Physical Education and Sport Teaching, Sport Management and Coaching Education school of Physical Education and Sport?Problem Solving Inventory? was developed by Heppner and Peterson (1982) and adapted into Turkish by Şahin, Şahin and Heppner (1993) and also ?Personal Information Form? have been used in the study.In the framework of the study prepared during 2010-2011 education year, SPSS 16 (Statistical Packet for Social Sciences) program has ben used for solving necessary statistical foundation of data gathered for the subproblems of which solutions are searched. In order to examine whether point average beloging to subdimensions of the problem solving ability of the students vary according to personal qualities or not T-test, Unilateral Anova and also the analyses of Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann Whitney U test have been benefited in condition that variations are not homogen.In conclusion of the study;1.Point average beloging to subdimensions and totality of the problem solving ability of the students are detected not to vary significantly as regards gender, profiecieny sport branch, the conditions of being licensed sportman and training frequency (p>0.05).2.Approach of refraining from subdimensions of the problem solving ability has been detected to be significantly different according to section difference (p<0.05).3.Approach of refraining from subdimensions of the problem solving ability, precipitate approach and considering approach have been detected to be significantly different according to class variation (p<0.05).4.Approach of considering subdimensions of the problem solving ability and eveluative approach have been detected to be significantly different according to age variation (p<0.05).Keywords: Physical Education and Sport, Regular Exercise, Problem Solving, Problem Solving Inventory.
