E-commerce development, e-commerce development in Turkey: The case of Çankırı province

In this study, it has been tried to give information about the development of electronic commerce. Electronic commerce has started to have a widespread usage area in the world since the beginning of the 21st century. In order to collect data within the scope of the research, a questionnaire study was applied to individuals using e-commerce in Çankırı province. As a result of all the analyzes and evaluations made, all of the participants reside in Çankırı, use the internet every day and mostly connect to the internet from home and phone. The majority of respondents find online shopping positive and prefer to buy online when they find the product at a discount or low price. The fact that more than half of the participants shop online through trendyol allows us to see that trendyol occupies an important place among turkish consumers. The reasons why the participants do not shop online are that the companies charge a separate fee for the delivery of the product, the product they purchased falls short of expectations, and the credit card information is reported to the other party. E-commerce is growing rapidly, and multiple technologies have converged to facilitate the proliferation of e-commerce systems. However, such systems face a challenging future in terms of the security risks they must prevent. The aim of the study is to provide a better understanding of electronic commerce and to reveal basic information about electronic commerce .
