Abstract (EN)

Study examines the relationship between parents' trait anger levels, anger expression styles, and attachment styles. The data were collected using the Trait Anger and Anger Expression Style Scale (TAS) and the Three-Dimensional Attachment Style Scale. Descriptive and relational analysis methods were used to determine whether anger levels and attachment styles differ according to parents' demographic characteristics such as gender, age, marital status, education level, and income level. According to the findings, significant relationships were found between attachment styles and both anger levels and anger expression styles. Parents with anxious and avoidant attachment styles were found to have higher levels of both outward anger expression and anger suppression. Additionally, attachment styles were shown to have a predictive effect on anger management. Analysis based on demographic variables revealed that education and income levels created significant differences in attachment styles, while marital status was found to have a significant effect on anger levels. These results emphasize the importance of early childhood attachment patterns in emotion regulation and, consequently, in anger control. Therefore, evaluating attachment styles in psychological support and therapy processes is considered essential.
