Abstract (EN)

This study examines the life and works of Suyûtî, who produced works in every branch of Islamic sciences in the fifteenth century. Likewise examines the previous scholars, his criticisms against logic and his work on logic. During his lifetime, the Mamelukes reigned in Egypt. Suyûtî lived in a period when the political, economic and social situation of the country weakened. In our literature review, it was revealed that Suyûtî was a great scholar who had a say in the fields of commentary, hadith, fiqh, kalam, language, literature and history. He has written hundreds of works in these fields. He also wrote two works in the field of logic: Savnu'l-Mantık ve'l-Kelâm and el-Kavlu'l meşrik fi'tehrim'ül-mantık. In his book el-Fetâvâ, he gave a fatwa against logic. In the first part of our study, information about Suyûtî's life, teachers, students and works are given. In the second part, the views of pre-Suyuti scholars about the science of logic are examined. In the third chapter, Suyûtî's critics of logic issues and his views on the science of logic are discussed. Keywords: Suyûtî, Logic, Criticism, Fatwa, Sav'nül-Mantık
