Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to investigate and study "Qurrat Al-Anzar Ala Sharh Tanweer Al-Absar" by Abu al-Tayyib al-Sindi (d. 1145 AH). In the part related to the introduction and the chapter on purity. The importance of the study comes from the importance of the annotated book. This book is an explanation of "Sharh Tanweer al-Absar" by al-Haskafi (d. (1070 AH) in which he explained the book "Tanwir al-Absar" by Al-Timirtashi (d.1004 AH), the famous fundamentalist jurist and one of the most prominent Hanafi scholars of his time. His book "Tanwir al-Absar" is considered one of the most important books approved in the branches of Hanafi jurisprudence. The importance of Al-Sindi's explanation is also highlighted by the fact that the book contains ignorant manuscript texts, which gives it great scientific value. The researcher followed the historical descriptive approach when extrapolating and presenting the biography and scientific biography of Imam Abu al-Tayyib al-Sindhi, and the method of investigation and commentary in the verified text when comparing the copies and proving the differences between them. Two written copies were used. The statements were returned to their sources, the Qur'anic verses, hadiths and sayings contained in the text were attributed, and jurisprudential issues raised by Al-Sindi were commented on for the purpose of clarification. The most important results are: Al-Sindhi's book included many fatwa-based sayings in Hanafi jurisprudence with regard to issues of purity, and the author was not fanatical about his Hanafi school, but rather he was quoting from other schools of thought, such as the Shafi'i jurisprudence, for example, and he said: Every imam has a reward for his diligence. Al-Sindhi did not only mention the sayings of the Hanafi School, but he sometimes weighed among them according to his personal ijtihad. Likewise, the scholars of jurisprudence who preceded him criticized him in many places, such as his criticism of Ibn al-Humam regarding the necessity of a woman grasping the roots of the hair when washing the ritual impurity and exaggerating the water reaching it. In his explanation, the author relied heavily on citing the opinions of Al-Haskafi and Al-Timirtashi. He also quoted the opinions of other scholars and gave preference to them. He discussed many jurisprudential issues in his explanation and confirmed his opinion on them. His footnote also conveyed a large number of scientific material from the books and included jurisprudential observations and deep analysis. His book is considered a great addition to the Islamic jurisprudence library, in a clear, uncomplicated style. He did not elaborate on the jurisprudential differences, so the footnote showed his scientific personality, intellectual independence, and breadth of knowledge.
