Abstract (EN)
This thesis aims to investigate the facilitating and complicating effects of culture in translation between Azerbaijani in Iran and Turkish. Since related languages share a common history and culture within certain borders, the loss of information in translation can be kept to a minimum. Language contact, migrations, social and political events, etc. in the historical process cause related languages to harbor different languages and subcultures. In translation, the source text may be misinterpreted at the point where the culture differs. In this thesis, the examples selected in the cultural context and the problems arising from cultural differences were analyzed with the pragmatical approach.
