Effectiveness of interactive software design in computer-assisted second language acquisition

CALL, computer-assisted second language learning is a technology-based but predominantly applied linguistics and language driven program. Its effectiveness depends upon the interactivity level of learners, learner-centeredness and learner control.On the conceptual dimension interdependent disciplines and methodologies such as learning behavior, applied linguistics and its several metdologies such as cmprehensive input, modified output, cognitive psychology and others interact and are supported by computer technologies. There are various approaches are taken to develop the software that are called points of departure. One of them is closeness of fit, a meeting point where the conceptu is delivered by the available technology without any limitations. This point has not been achieved so far and is not likely to be achieved in the near future for various reasons.
