Abstract (EN)
Women could make their gender heard late in literature and politics due to the dominance of masculine ideology. The world, which develops and is built day by day by ideologies, has become a place that cares about the biological sex of the individual in terms of the way of thinking, living, and understanding, and all of these have led to the emergence of the concept of gender. In this context, masculine and feminine roles have been created by the patriarchal society without asking the woman's opinion, and have sometimes been made by neither women nor men, roles that are wanted to be played as written. These roles, conceived by societies dominated by masculine ideology, have caused women to fall behind in every field. The employment comfort of women, whose working life has been active and dynamic both at home and outside for centuries, began to be addressed, especially after the 1970s. Although many improvements have been made in women's working policies, there are still women left behind. Erendiz Atasü, who tried to make a sound by not standing back in Turkey, criticizes the place of women and gender roles in literature and politics, like her foreign contemporaries Alice Walker and Jo Freeman. Atasü deals with the image of women in Turkey and the roles assigned to them by society in her work titled Women Also Exist, as a writer of the Republican period, frequently includes in her works the place of women in politics and how the patriarchal society views the expression "woman in politics". Likewise, Walker masterfully and bravely addresses the difficulties faced by a black woman in society due to gender role distribution in her work The Color Purple. Women in Turkey took part in the parliament for the first time in 1935, after the American Revolution, that is, between 1775 and 1783, women began to take a place in politics in America and many other countries. Jo Freeman was an important person who fought important battles for women's rights in politics. In addition to her classic feminist articles, she has written important works about social and political movements and political parties. In her work titled We Will Be Heard, she touches upon important issues about women in mainstream politics and public policy towards women.
