Abstract (EN)

Many disciplines are in an effort to ground their world of thought while justifying their existence and experience the necessity of reexamining and interpreting the "human being" and its "essence", which is the cornerstone of existence, from their own perspective. In this context, a comprehensive analysis of the dimensions of the human being will contribute to strengthening the ontological and epistemological foundations of education and open new paths for theoretical approaches in this field. In this sense, Mullah al-Jazari, one of the exceptional names of the Islamic scholarly tradition, is a thinker who can offer broad horizons to our discipline. Al-Jazari's world of thought is shaped by his understanding of the philosophy of wahdat al-wujūd, which has the potential to radically transform human existence and education. Al-Jazari, arguing for the unity of existence and the manifestation of all multiplicities within this unity, sees the human being as a mirror of the Absolute Being on earth. This perspective is essential for our field in terms of enabling a new and in-depth understanding. There is a communication between the One as the Creator and human beings as the creatures of multiplicity. The human being is a being of tawhid because of his emanation from the One, and for this reason he is in a position to be the subject of education with an encompassing, holistic perspective. As the manifestations of Allah's names and attributes, humans are a multitude of beings, and each person in this multitude has a unique characteristic that makes her/him special. Al-Jazari's thought, which demands that education should abandon the current totalizing/socialist view, suggests that the subjectivity/subjectivity/uniqueness of human beings should not be ignored. In addition, his conception of knowledge-marifah-hāl leads us to the inseparability and intertwinedness of cognition and becoming in human beings, in which case education turns into an event of becoming that is not only about knowing. Therefore, according to al-Jazari's conception of the human being, education is not just a "kāl" consisting of transmitting knowledge, but it is a "state" (hāl) as an event of realizing the divine truth in one's own essence.
