Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to determine the level of teachers' job performance, change fatigue and demoralization under the influence of educational policies and relationship among those variables. Additionally it was tested if demographics such as gender, school level, experience, dwelling unit of the school, educational background, marital status and the type of faculty graduated created a statistically significance difference in the scores. It was a correlational research. On the other hand, mean and standard deviation were calculated. Checking the assumption of normality, ANOVA, t-test, Spearman correlation coefficient for normally distributed data and Kruskall Wallis-H, Mann Whitney-U tests for non-normally distributed data were conducted. Simple linear regression was exploited to quantify the relative impact of variables on one another. Effect sizes were also calculated for statistically significant differences. "Teacher Job Performance Scale" and "Change Fatigue Scale" were developed and "Teacher Demoralization Scale" was adapted into Turkish Culture to collect the data. The study was carried out in Sakarya province during the academic year of 2018-2019. An online link containing data collection tools were sent to all public schools (primary, secondary and high schools) and 1935 teachers participated in the study through the link. The findings indicated that the level of teachers' job performance was "always" for overall scale, task and adaptive performance dimensions; "often" for contextual performance dimension. As for change fatigue scale teachers' opinions were "I agree" and "Undecided" for teacher demoralization scale and its dimensions. It was also determined that some of the demographics created statistically significant differences in teachers' opinions. On the other hand, there were both negative and positive low, medium or high level statistically significant correlations among variables. Lastly, the findings revealed that teacher demoralization and change fatigue predicted teacher job performance; change fatigue predicted teacher demoralization significantly. Based on the findings some suggestions were made for policy makers and educational administrators. Key Words: Change Fatigue, Demoralization, Job Performance.
