Total quality managemenet in education management

The Ministry of Education is aware of the importance of the quality at schools even in classes, so it has been carrying out Total Quality Management Applying Project for seven years. The effects of the project which influence the schools and institutions are important for work on studies. The habituation and practising the contemporary understanding of Total Quality Management is not easy to apply in our National Education System. The changes in education system and applying student centered programmes are also a constructive progress in the process of adaptation of TQM. It is not impossible to succeed in applying TQM with the school leaders who espoused this philosophy, aimed continual development and total participation. The aim of this research is to examine the level of this work and how the teachers, school leaders and school managers apply the TQM in their institutions. A survey has been done which finds out the teachers, leaders, managers and the other participants point of view about TQM in this research
