Abstract (EN)

It was aimed to determine the weldability of Hastelloy C-276 alloy with manual gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) method including dissimilar materials by mechanical tests. After the completion of the relevant study, the weldability of Hastelloy C-276 alloy with ASTM A312/316L and ASTM A106/A106M Gr. B was determined. This study was carried out to ensure that Hastelloy C-276 alloy is applied in a faultless and high-quality manner without creating extra costs in demanding sectors such as refinery and petrochemicals. It is known that pre-weld preparations affect the weld quality. For this reason, material surfaces should be cleaned of oil, dirt, rust and scale before welding. In the welding of C-276 alloy, surface cleaning was done with acid and its control was done with iron test. Root protection and support gas are applied in the welding of nickel alloy materials. Oxygen analysis tests were carried out to keep the oxygen amount under control within this gas protection. This thesis study was carried out in there different combinations using ERNiCrMo-4 welding filler wire and various welding parameters under argon gas protection. As a result, various tests such as tensile, bending, notch impact, hardness and microstructure were applied to determine the weldability of Hastelloy C-276 alloy and the weldability of Hastelloy C-276 alloy with ASTM A312/316L and ASTM A106/A106M Gr. B and its subsequent effects were investigated in detail. In this context, the most suitable welding parameters were determined.
