Abstract (EN)

The research was conducted with aim to compare of yield and some quality characteristics of wheat that sown as autumn (timely and late sowing) and spring in Isparta conditions during 2017-18 growing season. The experiment was set up as randomized complete block design with a split-plot design with three replications where sowing dates were in the main plots while the wheat cultivars were in subplots. Koç-2015, Seki, Ziyabey, Meta and Tosunbey bread wheat cultivars with alternative characters were used. Differences among all the examined characteristics (except for grain yield) in autumn sowings (timely and late sowing) weren't statistically significant. Yield and yield characteristics obtained from autumn sowings were higher than spring sowing. However, protein and fresh gluten content from spring sowing were higher than spring autumn. The highest grain yield was determined in autumn timely sowing (300.1 kg da-1), it was followed by autumn late sowing (261.7 kg da-1) and the lowest grain yield was obtained from spring sowing (234.1 kg da-1). Compare to cultivars, grain yield varied between 246.7 kg da-1 (Tosunbey) and 286.5 kg da-1 (Meta). As a result, it was advised to autumn timely sowing and Meta and Ziyabey cultivar as autumn sowing, and Meta, Koç-2015 and Ziyabey as spring sowing because of their higher grain yield and in the Isparta conditions.
