Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, a multi-generation integrated energy system was designed. The thermodynamic analysis and optimization study of this integrated system were carried out for efficiently system design. The co-generation, tri-generation, multi-generated energy systems were studied in the literature for multinational integrated energy system design. In these systems, the changes in the selected parameters for integrated system were observed. These studies were used to select the optimization parameters of investigated integrated energy system. A software program, Engineering Equation Solver (EES), was used for thermodynamic analysis. In order to realize the optimization of multi-generation integrated energy system, a mathematical model of system was created by using the thermodynamic balance equations. By using the mathematical model, the efficiency and cost equations of integrated system components were obtained. The optimization techniques for optimization of the integrated energy system were studied. Studies on the suitability of classical and modern optimization techniques for the system were carried out. "Multi-objective Optimization" technique was preferred for the system in order to realize optimization of the two objective functions, namely exergetic efficiency and cost. A multi-objective optimization was performed using a "Genetic Algorithm" based algorithm using a software program, MATLAB. The values of efficiency and cost equations corresponding to the optimal point for integrated system were selected.
