Abstract (EN)

In this study, which examines the relationship between the levels of eco-anxiety and hope towards preventing climate change among adults from a social work perspective, quantitative methods and a relational survey model were used. The research group consists of 514 individuals aged between 18 and 61. The "Eco-Anxiety Scale" and the "Hope Scale for Preventing Climate Change" were used as data collection tools. According to the findings, participants' gender, income status, marital status, education level, place of residence, material or moral impact from climate change, and number of children were predictors of eco-anxiety levels and hope levels towards preventing climate change. Simple Linear Regression Analysis and Pearson Correlation Analysis were conducted between the total scores of the "Eco-Anxiety Scale" and the "Hope Scale for Preventing Climate Change." A statistically significant negative relationship was found between the Eco-Anxiety Scale and the Hope Scale for Preventing Climate Change. It was concluded that as the level of eco-anxiety increases, the hope towards preventing climate change decreases.
