SUMMARY Master Thesis The Researching of Children Games of Elazığ in Terms of Folk Science M. Ebru TURGUT University of Fırat The Institute of Social Science And Postgraduate Study in Turkish Public Literature 2005; Page: XIII + 546 Children games are our cultural wealth that are one of the oral cultural products include the field of research of Turkish folk science have an important role in transfering the cultural herritace to the future by containing the historical and sociocultural elements of nations. The children games that are being played in Elazığ which has been important cultural center since old age of history, not only reflect the sociocultural life of Elazığ but also keep the traces of very old culture and belief elements of Turks. In Elazığ children games that are being forgotten and changed form by the influence of technological developments and also the means of communication, the research and evaluation of aforesaid culture elements have a big importants in this point of view.
