Abstract (EN)
Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecological malignancy in developed countries. The prevalence of endometrial cancer is expected to increase with increasing obesity and life expectancy. In this study, disease-free survival and overall survival of patients diagnosed with endometrial cancer were examined, and its relationship with immunostaining results as well as classical prognostic data such as stage, myometrial invasion, lymph node metastasis, which are known to affect survival were investigated. The relationship of these factors and survival with adjuvant therapy was also investigated. In this study, patients diagnosed with endometrial cancer who were followed up and treated in our clinic between 2018-2022 were included. Patients underwent surgery for staging, and hysterectomy and salpingo-oophorectomy and pelvic-paraaortic lymph node dissection were performed routinely. Older age, diabetes mellitus, depth of myometrial invasion, tumor diameter, presence of cervical invasion, tumor stage, histological grade of tumor, pelvic – paraaortic lymph node metastasis, p53 expression disorder, MLH-1 expression loss, MSH-2 expression loss and adjuvant chemotherapy treatment statistically significant relationship was found between survival. No significant correlation was found between the presence of comorbid disease, lymphadenectomy, loss of MSH-6 expression, loss of PMS2 expression, adjuvant brachytherapy and adjuvant radiotherapy treatment with survival and recurrence. According to the classification published by the World Health Organization in 2020, the role of molecular markers in determining the prognosis in endometrial cancer is increasing. In this study, the relationship between classical prognostic factors, molecular markers and adjuvant treatment methods with survival was examined and the factors affecting survival were tried to be determined. Prognosis can be determined by examining new molecular parameters together with classical parameters and adjuvant therapy can be adjusted based on these. Based on this perspective, the management of endometrial cancer is becoming more and more manageable with minimally invasive and simpler surgical methods. Therefore, there is a need for more similar studies and their compilation.
