Study of vocational maturity of the students tending to a vocational domain and their perception of the lever of family support at vocational high schools

In this study, vocational maturities and the level of the family supports of the undergraduate students who go to the Vocational High Schools are examined with various variables.The study focuses on the vocational high schools in European region of Istanbul. The test subject of this study consists of 219 male and 93 female students who are randomly selected in six Vocational High School.In order to define the level of the vocational maturity, students have been subjected to Vocational Maturity Scale developed by Kuzgun (1996). Moreover, in order to define level of the social support perceived from their family, student have been subjected to Social Support Scale which is used to gather data and developed by Yıldırım (1997).In this study the statistical model is to test if there are differences among the groups. The data were analyzed by the Moments Correlation Coefficients Technique and one way ANOVA procedure. T test used to understand if there is an important distinction among the groups in the result of variant analyze.Following results were found in this study;1.The vocational maturity of the students tending to a vocational domain is too low.2.The perception of the level of family support is average.3.There is a meaningful relation between the points which student received from the scale test of maturity level and family support.
