Abstract (EN)
In this study; firstly the amount of waste sludge which has been released as a result of the treatment of industrial wastes from Adana Organized Industrial Zone (AOSB) in treatment plants has been determined. Afterwards, the chemical content of the waste water sludge was analysed and calorific value was calculated. Based on the obtained data and analysis results, the energy and system costs are obtained in case the waste water sludge used as additional fuel for the plan which uses the tree husk as additional fuel, in present case. A rotary drum thermal drier system was chosen as the drying system. The cost analysis was performed by calculating the energy flow of the rotating drum thermal dryer system that is designed to increase the sludge humidity to 80%, the humidity of which is 2.2% at decanter inlet and 20% at decanter outlet. The rotary drum thermal dry system with a designed capacity of 80 tons/day has moving grilles. The inside diameter of the dryer system is 2500 mm, the length is 26000 mm and the inclination is 3%.
