Abstract (EN)

In the world and in Turkey, the supply method has been diversified by using thermal and renewable resources in electricity production. When we look at thermal source production, natural gas cycle plants take the first place. Then fossil source coal power plants follow. There are many natural gas thermal power plants and coal power plants currently operating in our country. In our country, which is rich in underground resources, electricity is produced with coal reserves extracted from mines. Again, in our country, which is also suitable for renewable resources in terms of nature and geological location, renewable source electricity production is also carried out. These are Hydroelectric Power Plant (HES), Solar Power Plant (GES), Wind Power Plant (RES), Geothermal Power Plant (JES), Biomass Power Plant (BES) and have a very dense place. Resource diversity is very important in terms of ensuring continuity when climate and geographic differences are taken into consideration. In addition, different methods have been adopted from time to time to keep the system afloat during the hours when production does not meet consumption, and reducing consumption is one of these methods. In this study, monthly, annual and daily hourly production values of thermal and renewable production plants for the last 13 years were collected. Energy deficit or surplus was analyzed based on these values, and the analysis results were given in tables and graphs. Based on these graphs, the fastest, most economical, sustainable and applicable methods for our country and the world were evaluated by comparing the demand side participation method with the energy supply gap closing method and storage methods.
