Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of mineral administration on metabolic profiles in the cow during periparturient period.In this study, approximately aged 4-5, same care and feding condition 20 healty pregnant cow were used. These animals were divided into two groups each in includes 10 animals; The mineral solution was applied at the dose of 20 ml/kg body weight, one dose in the experiment group during last three weeks of pregnancy. In the control group, total 20 ml isotonic sodium chlorur was injected at the same time. The blood samples were obtained from a jugular vein of all groups animals on day injection time, parturition time and three after parturition.The NEFA, BHBA, albumin, glucose, T. cholesterol, VLDL-cholesterol, LDL- cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, trigliceride, AST, ALT, GGT, T. bilirubin, creatinine, BUN and T. protein levels was determined in the groups as methabolic parameters.In the study, there is no statististical differences was determined according to ALT and albumin levels, but the statististical differences were determined to NEFA (p<0.05), BHBA (p<0.05), glucose (p<0.05), T. cholesterol (p<0.01), HDL cholesterol (p<0.001), LDL cholesterol (p<0.001), VLDL cholesterol, (p<0.001), trigiceride (p<0.01), AST (p<0.01), GGT (P<0.05), BUN (P<0.001), creatinine (p<0.05), T. bilirubine (p<0.05) and T. protein (P<0.01) levels in the control group.There is no statististical differences was determined according to LDL cholesterol, AST, ALT, GGT, creatinine and albumin levels, but the statististical differences were determined to NEFA (p<0.01), BHBA (p<0.001), T. cholesterol (p<0.05), HDL cholesterol (p<0.01), LDL cholesterol (p<0.05), VLDL cholesterol (p<0.001), trigiceride (p<0.01), BUN (P<0.001), T. bilirubine (p<0.05) and T. protein (P<0.01) levels in the experiment group.In conclusion, the mineral solution application beginning on the periparturient period, especially contains selenium, cupper, zinc and manganase, was effective to prevent of adverse effects during periparturient period.
