Abstract (EN)
This thesis comprehensively examines the life, musical personality, and contributions to the music of the Elazığ-Harput region of Enver Demirbağ, one of the important representatives of this regional music, including his works that he added to the TRT repertoire. Enver Demirbağ is a significant representative of the music of the Elazığ-Harput region. His works reflect the richness and diversity of the region-specific modes and rhythms. Moreover, Demirbağ has brought a new musical perspective to this region. In his compositions, he has utilized not only the traditional Elazığ-Harput modes but also modes from Turkish classical music and Western classical music. This thesis investigates Enver Demirbağ's life, musical education, personality, and contributions to the music of the Elazığ-Harput region. Additionally, nine of Demirbağ's compositions that were added to the TRT repertoire have been analyzed in terms of mode and rhythm. The research concludes that Enver Demirbağ has made significant contributions to the music of the Elazığ-Harput region. His works contribute to the continuity of the region's musical tradition and its transmission to new generations.
