Analyzing the correlation between emotional intelligence and creativity level

The purpose of this study is; analyzing the correlation between emotional intelligence and creativity level in adolescents. Sample group consists of students aged between 14-17; from Yalova Science School located in city center Yalova, Yalova Bahcesehir College, Yalova Anatolian High-School and Yalova commercial school, 272 female and 251 male; a total of 523. Every participants are applied Demographical Information Form, Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Scale and Adolescence Form and Creativity Scale(How Creative You are?) Autonomous sample T-Test and One way Variant Analysis(ANOVA) is applied to obtain if there is a considerable correlation between emotional intelligence and creativity levels and demographical variants. Pearson Correlation Analysis is applied to analyse the correlation between emotional intelligence levels and creativity scale. Study results have shown that there is a positive correlation between some sub – dimensions of emotional intelligence and creativity. The relation of both notions with the variants are elaborated in the empirical evidences part, as in discussion part; the results supported by the literature are expressed.
