Abstract (EN)
In this study, "Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder" symptoms. in alcohol .dependent .patients., the effect of family alcohol ..consumption on "Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder" were examined. In the study, 50 participants diagnosed as alcohol dependent were in the. .experiment group and 50 normal participants .were in the .control .group.. First, "Turkish version of the Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale", "The Addiction Profile Index (API)" and "Stroop T-BAG" version were administered to both groups. There was ..no correlation between. the score of "API" and the ."Stroop Test T-BAG Form".. There was positive and high correlation between the total score of API and DSM-V Criteria. According to this result, if the .score of "API" increase, the criteria of DSM-V increases.. if the .score of API decrease, the criteria of DSM-V decreases. The results of Stroop Test TBAG version reviewed that the group of alcohol dependents completed Part 1 (reading the columns of black words), Part 2 (Reading the columns words) and Part 3 (Reading the colours of coloured figures) of this test in a longer time than the control group. A statistically significant difference was. found between. the .total score of hyperactivity / impulsivity of those who were alcohol dependent and those who were not: The total score of hyperactivity / impulsivity of the alcohol dependent group is higher than the control group. As a result of the "independent sample t test", there was no significant difference in the total scores of the subscales of "Turkish version of the Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale for men and women". There were. no statistically ..significant differences .between the family alcohol consumption and alcohol dependent and control group: In alcohol dependent group, 28 participants' family members use alcohol and in the control group 24 participants' family members use alcohol. There was. no .statistically significant. difference between. the scores .of "Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale" with and without alcohol use in their families. There is a statistically significant ..difference between.. the total score .of hyperactivity / impulsivity for the marital status of the participants: the highest total score of hyperactivity / impulsivity of the living alone, divorced and living separate from family participants and the average score of hyperactivity / impulsivity is the lowest among the married. If the high scores indicate high hyperactivity / impulsivity, which is the lowest in married. As a result; attention deficit problems, ADHD symptoms, problems associated with ADHD were detected more often in alcohol dependents.
