Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research; The aim of this study is to examine the effects of handball players playing in the Intercollegiate Men's 1st League on some physical fitness parameters and anaerobic power after eight weeks of pre-season functional strength training. Forty male handball players competing in the Intercollegiate Men's Handball 1st League in the 2020-2021 season voluntarily took part in the research. The mean age of the handball players in the experimental group (n=20) was 20.05 ± 1.99 years; height 185.30 ± 7.09 cm and body weight 80.57 ± 11.96 kg' and the mean age of the control group basketball players (n=16) was 21.00 ± 1.65 years; height 182.85 ± 7.84 cm and body weight; It is 82.03 ± 15.53 kg. In the eight-week period, in the first and last weeks, "height", "body weight", "5 meters", "10 meters", "15 meters", "20 meters", "25 meters" sprint, medicine ball throwing, standing long jump, 1 minute sit-ups and push-ups, vertical jump, 25 meters V Cut (floor) sprint and 6-30 seconds anaerobic power values were determined on the wattbike pro bike. The training period was scheduled for two months (8 weeks), six days a week, and 2 hours a day. Strength training loading intensities were designed according to the weekly loading intensities of the participants after determining the 1 maximum repetition (1RM) values of the participants in the study. The training contents were applied to the participants in the research with different variations of drills specific to the handball branch based on the basic program by the practitioner. In the evaluation of the data, the necessary assumptions for ANOVA in Mixed Measures in the SPSS (17.0) package program were checked and it was deemed appropriate to perform the analysis. done. Significance level was evaluated as p<0.05. As a result, according to the results of Mixed measures ANOVA data analysis, when the differences between the groups before and after the intervention program were compared with each other, the difference between the groups in terms of medicine ball throwing, standing long jump and 1 minute shuttle variable was found to be statistically significant. When the pre-test and post-test values of the groups were compared, the body weight, "5 meters", "10 meters", "15 meters", "20 meters", "25 meters" speed values were in favor of the experimental group. There was a statistically significant difference in favor of both groups in 25 meters V Cut (floor) sprint, right and left hand claws, 1 minute sit-ups and push-ups, medicine ball throwing, vertical jump and 6-30 seconds anaerobic power values on wattbike pro bike. has been found to be. As a result; In the light of the data obtained, it is seen that the functional strength training model has a moderate and small effect on the speed values in the in-group evaluation, and the moderate effect on the anaerobic capacity contributes positively.
