Abstract (EN)
The Old Uighur individual letters, the general writing in Old Turkic, which is the esengü bitig 'welfare letter' were among the manuscripts found in the Thousand Buddha Caves in Dunhuang. It is seen that the Old Uighur letters identified were written on the issues of agriculture, work life, state administration, trade, daily life and human relations. There are letters from the Buddhist, Manichaean and Christian circles from the ancient Uighurs. In this study, the Old Uighur letters found in Dunhuang - in Takao Moriyasu's phrase, from the Eastern Silk Road - were read and interpreted through the fragments we have and the published studies. The vocabulary of the letters is compared from a limited number of Khakassian texts, with the basic dictionaries of the subject. we can explain the reason for this comparison by the fact that in Khakassian, which is in the azaq / taγlïγ group of Turkish dialects, along with Yellow Uighur and Fu-yu Kyrgyz, there are very few quotations from Arabic and Persian and there are fewer quotations from Mongolian than Tuvan, Altaic and Yakut. Furthermore it is important that today it is one of the closest Turkish dialects to Old Uighur, after the non-written Yellow Uighur. The comparative indexes of Old Uighur and Khakassian are given in two groups (common and differentiated) and divided into concept areas. In addition, the common Old Uighur and Khakassian words were evaluated according to M. Swadesh's final 100-word ranking published in 1971.
