It has been determined that the higher the education level, the more egalitarian attitude in context of the gender role has been. In addition, it has been determined that the women who apply hospital for aesthetic have more egalitarian attitude than women who apply for a disease. There is a positive relation between Gender Role Attitudes Scale and Non-Functional Attitudes Scale. It is seen that women who have an egalitarian attitude feel the need for approval and have a perfectionist attitude, in particular. It is seen that women are affected by different factors during the application process to the plastic surgery and may have non-functional beliefs. For this reason, a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and the nursing care are recommended for women who apply for plastic and cosmetic surgery during the preoperative period.
