Unethical manager behaviors: Teacher's negative experiences

In this study, it was aimed to investigate the unethical behaviors of school administrators based on the negative experiences of teachers.The study group of the research consists of 20 teachers working in the primary, secondary and high school of the Sorgun district of Yozgat province. The research was carried out in qualitative research method and case study design. In the data collection process of the research, a semi-structured interview form prepared for the study was used. As a result of the interviews, content analysis was made, codes were determined, themes and categories were created. The research has been discussed in five themes: teachers' general perceptions about the concept of ethics, unethical behaviors of administrators, unethical behaviors of administrators in the decision process, unethical behaviors they display while communicating, and unethical behaviors that affect the organizational climate. As a result of the research, considering the negative experiences of the teachers, it was concluded that the administrators showed unethical behaviors. As a result of the research, it was concluded that there is a deficiency in ethical definition. It has been concluded that the administrators discriminate in school affairs, consider their own interests, apply mobbing to teachers and are rude. It has been concluded that the managers do not take joint decisions in the decision process, they are excessively prescriptive and the decisions taken are changed according to the individual. As a result of the interviews with the teachers, it was concluded that there was a lack of communication in the administrators and that they acted rudely and discriminatory during communication. It was concluded that the administrators' discrimination, not supporting the teachers, not communicating, not participating in common activities and being in the classical supervision approach negatively affect the organizational climate.
