Abstract (EN)

Nowadays managements in various sectors keep on their activities in a hard business ambient. Continuous changing in environmental conditions and crisis which are dissimilar and congruent of global economy show it is necessary to ensure concordance to external world with defining mission and vision of managements and making developments in employees roles. In this hard competetion ambient managements which are desirous for maintain existence should gravitate to constitutional improvings in order to rise their performance and make some long and mid-term plans about deployment of politics.A successful management strategy needs a realistic analyze of environmental conditions, a compatible future focused vision and relation between present and future states. Hoshin Kanri was started to be occur when Statistical Quality Control (SQC) turned into Total Quality Control (TQC) in the Japan of the 1960's and became a main technique of the Total Quality Management (TQM). Although environmental conditions are changing constantly, Hoshin Kanri intends firms to reach their strategic priorities as a quality tool and management technique.Hoshin Kanri's ideas should be considered by organizations that have sight of leading the sector and being different by adopting TQM philosophy which promotes being quality, human and sustained grow oriented. In this study, Hoshin Kanri methodology which is a quality management technique was examined in detail and the application of it in Dokuz Eylul University İzmir Vocational High School was explained.Key words: 1) Quality, 2) Quality tools, 3) Total Quality Management, 4) Performance, 5) Hoshin Kanri
