The age and body mass index differences among all groups were non-significant. Selenium level was reduced significantly in newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients, and reelevated in chemotherapies patients and elevated more in prostate cancer patients on hormonal therapy. Cadmium was increased significantly in chemotherapies patients compared to the rest groups. Aluminum, mercury and lead were increased in the three groups of patients, but the most significant level was observed in chemotherapies patients. Iron level was reduced significantly in newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients, and chemotherapies patients. In conclusion, trace elements are suffering great change in prostate cancer disease, and can be used as sensitive prognostic markers.
