Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the static e-learning and interactive e-learning attitudes of pre-service English language teachers in the context of authoring tools. In addition to this, it was also focused on whether the system durations and achievement scores of pre-service English language teachers distinguish. The research was carried out with undergraduate students at a foundation university in Istanbul. In order to answer the research questions, a mixed-method design was applied. In the study, two scales, achievement tests, system logs, answers to open-ended questions, reflective essays and the researcher's diary were preferred as data collection tools. Collected data were analyzed with appropriate qualitative and quantitative data analysis tools. The findings revealed that pre-service English language teachers' interactive e-learning attitudes were higher, and there was a significant difference between their interactive e-learning attitudes pre- and post-test results. In addition, it was concluded that there are statistically significant differences between the system durations and success scores of the static e-learning and interactive e-learning groups. It is assumed that there is no correlation between technology profiles and e-learning attitudes of pre-service English language teachers. Finally, the findings of the qualitative data suggest the assumption that interactive e-learning encountered more positive perceptions from the participants. This study gives an idea about the practical applications for the use of authoring tools in pre-service teacher training.
