Home care services in an investigation that determined you need

The aim of this research is to quantify the addiction proportion of geriatrics group, and to specify the need of home care service by designating the needs assessment. General screening model has been used for this research. This research has been performed on members who are registered to a personal health system on a private company. Questionnaire form has been used as data collection tool in this research. For the analysis of the data; statistical software, descriptive statistics methods like numbers, ratios, average, standard deviation and tests of hypothesis have been used. This research consists of two parts. In the first part, health and health services are discussed in general, and classified health services are discussed after categorization. In the second part of the research; home care services, aging and it?s problems, population growth of aged people, nursing of aged people, and palliative and hospice care services which are related to terminal period are discussed. Care services, it?s current situation and the needs are tried to be determined according to examples globally and in Turkey. It has been attempted to determine Our country?s need for care services and it?s current state have been attempted to be determined by examining the examples in Turkey and the world. By considering that cancer patients and geriatric group need home care service, the service area has been attempted to be specified.
