Abstract (EN)

In this study, the rapidly increasing importance in recent years have investigated the topic of domestic solid waste management. The first stage of municipal waste management, waste type, quantity and composition using internationally accepted methods to determine the number. To determine them, a waste composition study was conducted on the Seyhan-Çukurova districts. Waste composition study with a total of 55 households during the week-weekend, summer and winter periods was carried out for. Study results, organic waste (75.6%), paper (7.7%), plastics (11.7%), metal (2.9%), Glass (1.5%), respectively. The average amount of waste per person is 0.76 kg / kişi.gün respectively. Socio-economic characteristics which are influenced by the amount of waste per capita was statistically evaluated to determine. Socio-economic factors may affect the per capita waste generation rates therefore concluded that the management plans should be considered in this situation. In the second phase, public participation in solid waste management and recycling efforts, and survey was conducted to determine the factors affecting it. Total 502 households, the survey evaluated the factors affecting participation in recycling applications. Recycling behavior was calculated using logistic regression model. Evaluated in the study of socio-economic factors, many concluded that recycling can help to explain the behavior. In the last step, a new tool used in the selection disposal technologies used in the life cycle analysis. Environmental impact of disposal of different classes of scenarios to evaluate the effects of the cradle-to-grave model of CML used in 2001 and was chosen the most appropriate disposal scenario. As a result, the most appropriate disposal scenario, the center of the source separation + separation + compost facility (together) were the scenario.
