Contributions of Fadl Hasan Abbas to the sciences of the Qur'an (Comparison of Itqân al-Burhân's with Burhân and Itqân)

In this thesis, it has been tried to determine the innovations and contributions of Fadl Hasan Abbas (1932-2011), one of the recent authors who have intense activities in the field of Qur'anic sciences. For this purpose, his work Itqân al-Burhân fî 'ulûm al-Qur'an is the most famous book of the field, Zarkashi's (d. 794/1392) al-Burhân fî 'ulûm al-Qur'an and Suyuti's (d. 911/1505) al-Itqân fî 'ulûm al-Qur'an are compared in terms of various issues. Thesis; consists of the introduction, three chapters and the conclusion: The birth, compilation and historical development of the Qur'anic sciences are handled in the introduction. In the first chapter, the life of Fadl Abbas and his religious, moral and scientific personality is included and his works are introduced. In the second chapter, information about al-Burhân, al-Itqân and Itqân al-Burhân are given, these three books are compared. In the third chapter, the answers given by Fadl Abbas against the orientalists' claims against the Qur'an are mentioned. In the conclusion part, the research findings were presented.
